Michael A. Ruder
Mike is from Colorado, and attended the University of Colorado where he obtained his BA in 1974. He remained there for medical school, graduating in 1979. He then went to Phoenix to Maricopa County General Hospital, where he completed his residency before heading to the University of Missouri for a fellowship in Cardiology. Mike then became the first recipient of the sponsored fellowship of the North American Society for Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE), now known as the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), and finished his fellowship in electrophysiology at UC San Francisco. He has numerous publications related to cardiac electrophysiology, and in recent years has concentrated on cardiac imaging and cardiac risk management. He is board certified in Nuclear Cardiology. He and his wife live in Atherton with their 4 children.
