Jonathan Salcedo
Jonathan grew up in Orange County, CA, and like many southern Californians found it difficult to stray very far from home. He attended UCLA where he graduated with cum laude honors as a neuroscience major. Afterwards, he attended medical school and completed his internal medicine residency and general cardiovascular disease fellowship at UC Irvine. He finished up his training at UC San Diego where he completed a two-year clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship. Throughout this period, he produced 10 peer-reviewed research manuscripts, 5 of which he was the primary author. He finally “saw the light” and relocated to the Bay Area to join Silicon Valley Cardiology in 2016. He practices all aspects of general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology including complex cardiac ablations (such as ablation for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia), device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs, and BiV ICDs), laser lead extractions for defective or infected devices, and left atrial appendage exclusion procedures with the Watchman device. He lives with his wife, daughter, and two French Bulldogs in Palo Alto. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, weight lifting, and playing ice hockey as a goalie.
