Donald A. St. Claire, Jr
Don grew up locally, his father practicing Internal Medicine in Portola Valley. Don headed south for college and obtained his BS from UCLA in 1984. He then traveled east and attended Hahnemann Medical College where he received his MD in 1988. He returned to the Bay area to do his internship, residency and chief residency at Stanford University Hospital, and then completed his cardiology fellowship at UCSF.
Don then did a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Emory University in Atlanta, and after being in practice in Atlanta for several years he returned home to join Silicon Valley Cardiology. In addition to his expertise in coronary interventions, Don also is involved in the TAVR program at Sequoia Hospital, where an aortic valve can be replaced without open heart surgery. Don and his wife reside in Redwood City where they have raised their 3 children.
